Here are our 6 top bachelorette party destinations:
Whether you are the bride or a bridesmaid, what better way to celebrate a bachelorette party then a little vacation? The times have changed and no longer is a girls night out to the strippers will pass as the best bachelorette party ever (sorry to bursts any bubbles). Take this opportunity to go to a destination that interests you (and the girlfriends) more then it does for the future hubby! Looking for some inspiration? Check out my top 6 destinations!
1. Collingwood, Ontario
When making a vacation part of your bachelorette party, you don't necessarily have to travel to a far off place! Collingwood is a great location due to its wide variety of activities and close proximity. If you are visiting during the winter, then skiing may be the highlight of the trip (well, hot tubbing, for me). In the spring, summer and fall months, there are lots of outdoors activities that will please everyone too! Whether you're relaxing at the Scandinavian spa, zip lining or tanning at the beach, there is something for everyone to enjoy! (I'd definitely be at the spa!) Collingwood is the perfect stay-cation for your next bachelorette party!
Check out the Blue Mountain website for activity options and accommodations.
2. Montreal, Quebec
The great thing about Montreal is the change of culture. It makes you feel like you are in a new country, when only you're just a province away! Exploring this new city is sure to please all of the ladies. Some must-do daytime activities consist of site-seeing, visiting museums and embracing the culture. Montreal is well known for world renowned cuisine and Canadian favourites such as poutine and beaver tails. The food will be sure to speak for itself - I'd bring my stretchy pants to this one. Montreal is also filled with amazing night-life, where the bride can have her one last hurrah!
Check out Tourisme Montreal for a full breakdown of what to do, where to stay and what to eat while you're there! (HINT: The jazz festival is killer there!)
3. Nashville, Tennesee
This one is definitely for the country loving bride. Not to worry if you aren't the country-loving bridesmaid because there are plenty of non-country related things to do in Nashville! You may even be surprised by the amount of city-type activities that Nashville has to offer. (I was extremely surprised when I found out Nashville wasn't just home to the country folks). Nashville is not only home to country music, it's also known as Music City, appealing to many more then just country music fans. With legendary venues, museums and entertainment; this city is sure to be a bachelorette destination full of musical memories.
If you are considering visiting Music City, they have a great website with everything you could imagine getting up to while visiting this amazing place.
4. Chicago, Illinois
For those city loving brides, Chicago is hands down the place to go. There are endless activities to do and sights to see, museums to explore, shops to shop, amazing restaurants to try and stellar night life too! One thing I love about Chicago, is that since it's situated on a lake, it gives you such a wide variety of things you could do. If you are looking for a high energy experience that is an alternative to Las Vegas, I would definitely be booking Chicago. With the travel options to fly, drive or train, half the experience may be in the transportation.
Check out the Choose Chicago website for everything you need to know! Don't forget to have a deep dish pizza for me!
5. Bahamas, Bahamas
As fun as it is to be adventurous and have an activity packed vacation; a total relaxation vacation might be just for you. How can you say no to lounging on the beach with a cocktail in hand?! The Bahamas are great because travel time is minimal. It's an ideal way to extended any weekend vacation. The benefit of a tropical beach destination is that you have the option of choosing an all inclusive resort or renting a villa and really embracing the local culture.
Check out some accommodation options that might suit your needs!
6. Napa Valley, California
Do you really think we could share our favourite bachelorette destinations with you and not include wine??? I'm not sure about you, but drinking wine with girlfriends is a regular occurrence for me, so why not make a vacation out of it? Visiting one of the best wine regions in the world is a great way to celebrate getting hitched. While visiting the Napa Valley you can stay in lavishing resorts or charming Bed and Breakfasts, all while indulging in world class cuisine. I don't see how it could get much better!
The Napa Valley is the perfect indulgence vacation for the wine loving bride.
